"Groningen" (II) 

In 1961 N.V. Bureau Wijsmuller has ordered four oceangoing tugs , and  as first of this new serie came the Groningen (II)   , build   by Kramer & Booy Shipyards at Kootstertille, Holland. On 27th oktober 1962 the launching took place and the tug be added to the Wijsmuller fleet on 2th april 1963. Contents 598 Gross tons , length b.p.p. 158'-4", breadth mld. 33' and depth mld. 15'-6". Two Werkspoor diesel engines coupled to a single propeller giving a total-output of 2950 IHP.  In april 1980 the Groningen has be sold to G.O.R. Enterprise, U.S.A. which rebuild the tugboat as yacht.
